An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support students' academic growth in a dynamic elementary school environment. This role focuses on providing tailored educational experiences for students with diverse learning needs within a full-time capacity.
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: ASAP - End of the School Year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate the individual needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate students progress, maintaining regular grading and attendance records.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Provide direct support within the classroom, particularly in push-in models for grades 5th to 8th.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License in NJ.
- Strong understanding of various teaching methodologies and learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience in managing diverse classroom settings.
