St. Bernadette School is a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and is located on 22 acres of green space in a growing suburb of Cincinnati, OH. Founded in 1944 in two classrooms serving students in grades K-8, "St. B" now has approximately 190 students in grades K-8 and 60 in our preschool program, which began in 2007. Our community is often referred to as the St. Bernadette Family. Parents are active as volunteers in classrooms, as coaches, and as leaders in the PTO and Booster organizations. Teachers at St. Bernadette value working as teams in grade bands, or as teams in common curricular initiatives. Technology includes 1:1 Chromebooks for students in grades 1-8, Smartboard screens for classrooms, wi-fi accessibility in all buildings and on the playground, and use of Google Classroom. Recent grants and donations have enabled the campus to add VR technology, and a fully functioning Maker Space as well as a STEAM classroom, both of which are accessible to all grade levels. Students at our school are typically organized in one homeroom per grade, depending on enrollment. To promote additional connections between grade levels and provide opportunities for additional social-emotional engagement, a house system was added in 2020. Students are organized into four houses across all grade levels and meet monthly. Teachers serve as Heads of House. St. Bernadette School is supported by St. Bernadette Parish and enjoys it connections to the wider community as well, providing support for parish missions such as ministry to the home-bound, and families served by the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
