Elementary and Middle School Summer Academy
LOCATION: Pioneer Middle School
DURATION: June 30 - July 2, 2025 - Teacher PD and planning
July 7, 2025 - July 31, 2025 (Monday Thursday)
Staff hours: 7:45-11:45
Student hours: 8:00-11:30
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in working with young children in elementary and middle school instructional setting
- Good communication skills.
- Responsible, dependable and punctual.
- Ability to maintain accurate service logs.
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule.
- Good attendance record.
- Functions under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Works in small groups or one-on-one in the classroom setting.
- Document time, service provided and students serviced on a weekly log.
- Provide support or learning strategies in the following academic areas: ELA, Math, and Science.
- Bending, lifting, and overhead work required.
- Assists and performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:
Pre-Program: Monday Wednesday
June 30 - July 2, 2025 - PD and classroom set up
8:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m.
Program: Monday Thursday
July 7, 2025 - July 31, 2025 (Monday Thursday)
7:45 a.m. 11:45 p.m.
Post-Program: Thursday, July 31, 2025
1:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m.
SALARY/PAY RATE: $18.00 per hour (Summer Academy only)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Occasionally the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs such as boxes of books. The employee is directly responsible for safety, well-being, or work output of other people. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus.

Upon recommendation for employment, Section 1230g, as amended, of the Revised School Code requires all school employees to be electronically finger printed for the purpose of undergoing a criminal history background check. The fingerprinting is conducted by a third party and is at the expense of the applicant. Cost for fingerprinting is approximately $70.00.
