un Tinkering School Assistant teacher needed for camp on Friday March 14 (East Austin) image 1 of 4 compensation: $18 an hour We run camps for kids ages 6-10 to learn how to use simple power tools, work on small projects, both of their own design and some we will guide them through.You just need to assist our lead teachers, in helping the kids with the flow of the day (projects, work time, snack, lunch, play time). We need to help the kids get their projects completed, make sure they are safe and are having a great time! Please have comfort and experience with building and/or crafting and hands-on activities (tinkering experience is preferred but not TOTALLY necessary, if you are just a hands-on crafty person we can also train you on the tools), AND greatly enjoy working with kids, and have some experience working with them. I need someone extremely responsible, who takes instructions well and follows through, who is creative and can support the kids in being creative, but also has good attention to detail and will help everyone get through their projects, and help the space get tidied up at the end of the day. You need to show up to work ON TIME and make sure we're all good to go before the kids arrive. If it goes well we might have more work for you in the future!
